I bought this Valiant Deep Pile Fleece in Dark Fern alongside the brown one and couldn't be happier with both overall. The material feels genuinely solid and well-made.
I already own two Born Explorer Polar-Lined Sherpa Fleeces in different colors, which I also love. In comparison, the Valiant Deep Pile Fleece is significantly warmer—not something I considered beforehand, but definitely a welcome surprise.
The only small detail fit-wise is that the cuffs on the Valiant Deep Pile are less flexible than on the Born Explorer. I like to push my sleeves up, and while it's still possible here, they fit quite tight around the forearms.
My only real critique is that the color in person didn't quite match the website product images. I was expecting a more vibrant green based on the photos, and the yellow sections also look different in reality—likely due to studio lighting brightening things up.
Aside from the color variation, I'm very satisfied. Great gear all around!
